As I write this, my kind wife is driving us to Houston to take down a show I’ve had up for a month. I’ve been noticing the wildflowers are starting to make their way out and blooming everywhere. Spring has always been a season that reminds me to bloom where I am planted. Before I grew in my relationship with Jesus, I was always comparing myself to others and of course wanting what they had or being where they were instead of where I was personally at. Whenever someone else got an assignment I was bidding on, I would be depressed for two or three days. As I began reading the bible, I began see that I needed to learn to be content…1 Timothy 6:6 “But godliness with contentment is great gain.” Since learning to be content, the gain of peace and joy has been priceless. I’ve learned to genuinely enjoy the success of others. I no longer strive to be God’s right hand man, I just want to be one the boys, blooming where God has planted me.

Kevin,
I just want you to know that I have read every one of your blogs and been so very blessed by your photographs and your expression of love for the Father. I have told so many people I have met about you and am sending a link to your blog site to everyone I know.
At the ladies bible study I attend on Tuesdays, a woman who I did not know came and is starting chemo for breast cancer tomorrow (Thursday). When our time together was over and everyone was gathering their things to leave, I approached her and as I wanted to give her a gift of hope and joy in the things of God…..well, all I could think to give that would be of value and sufficient for the trials she was going thru…..was your blog!! I believed it to be a gift too expensive to be paid for, so I got her email address and will be sending the link today. Her name is Deanna. Thank you, Kevin.
