I started this site to share a promise God made to me years ago. After choosing to serve myself rather than obeying God in His call for me to share Christ to a subject of a photo assignment, who then died two days later. As I sat in shock upon hearing this, feeling I had sent this guy to hell, I felt Gods hand rest on my shoulder. He then said to me, “Kevin, Roberts life did not rest on you, however you missed out on an incredible blessing. You need to remember that first you are my Ambassador. Then you can claim to be a photojournalist. In fact Kevin, your career as a photojournalist will simple be a vehicle that I will use to move you around the world to meet kings of nations, the poorest of the poor and many in between for you to minister to as I call you.” I can testify that from there on God showed up to every assignment! Many of them in huge dramatic ways and others very subtle. This site is all about those assignments over my career. The God story behind the photos if you will.
I hesitate to post anything here about myself because I want this blog to be about Jesus Christ. You can read about my career or view my fine art at http://www.kevinv.com. What’s really important about me is Jesus Christ is my Lord and he saved me from having to pay for so many bad decisions in my life and He has invited me to come and live with Him in His house forever when I die. Oh, get this, He has said I can invite as many others that I wish to come along with me when they die. He says He has plenty of room. So, if you read this and want to join us if you’re not already coming, then turn your heart towards heaven and tell Jesus Christ you believe He is your Lord and trust in His sacrifice for your bad choices or sins as He calls them. Then go and be baptized and know He will hear you and your name will be added as a “YES” to the RSVP list, also known as The Lamb’s Book of Life”.

Leslie recently sent me the link to this blog. I opened the email today and looked at it for the first time. I am fasting, as is my practice on Mondays. I just fini!shed reading all 6 days and have been fed spiritual food almost too much to take in.
God has chosen you to do this for such a time as this…….I believe with all of my heart!
