This last weekend I met a really fun 83 year old cowboy outside Wimberley, Texas while teaching a photo workshop. His name is Jack Glover, but I like calling him “Cowboy Jack”. As it turned out Cowboy Jack is Will Rogers cousin. At 83 , he had some wonderful stories from his life to share. Many of those stories were written in his eyes, face and hands. I can tell this was no accident for me to meet my new friend. My gut tells me the Lord has more planned for us. Jack told me he was ready to die, ready to leave this world. Yet, something tells me he is not ready because I’m sure he has met his creator here yet. I really sensed something special about this man and God really wanting him to live in His house when he leaves earth. As we all know God always seems to get His way:)

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Jack Glover as well 🙂 Last I chatted with him this past summer, I asked him if anyone had ever written a book about him and ironically, he was writing a chapter himself right then. I then got to hear a great story about a well known movie and the hand he had in it! When I told him I was excited to read the book, he got real close and looked straight into my eyes and said “It’ll blow your mind!” And I know it will! I love me some Jack Glover 🙂
