PHOTO EPISTLE #28-Louis and Dinah…True Fishermen

This row boat photo reminds me of a couple of fishermen Leslie and I admire greatly; Louis and Dinah DeLuca! These two are true walking warriors for Christ who have endured much. Not ones to talk about the good Christians should be doing, rather just themselves doing it. It’s all about others, not themselves. Just don’t let Louis cool your hot broth for you!!!(inside joke:) Louis works as a photojournalist for the Dallas Time Herald and years ago received an assignment to cover the trials of a young boy named Fuyang. Fuyang was an orphan who came to America in 2003 from China to have cranial-facial surgery, and to have his hearing surgically repaired. He had been deaf and unable to speak for the first 12 years of his life. After the first shoot, Dinah and Louis decided to sponsor Fuyang during his time here for the multiple surgeries. God had another plan and soon Dinah and Louis fell in love with him and adopted Fuyang in 2005 even though they had both already raised several children who were off to college and life themselves. Over the years I have watched these two make some incredible sacrifices for Fuyang.
