After shooting this photo in color for a light painting workshop, I converted it to B&W. Once in B&W, the image took on another look and evoked a strong emotion in me and others that eventually looked at it. When we had our art gallery I was surprised at how many people bought this image, not counting those who camped in front of it and did not purchase it. For me, it reminds me of the prison of my lifestyle and the empty chair represents my salvation from this prison through Yeshua Hamashiach. Psalm 107:10 fits where I was at metaphorically…”Some sat in darkness, in utter darkness, prisoners suffering in iron chains”. Then one day Psalm 146:6-8 happened to me…”6 He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them— he remains faithful forever. 7 He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets prisoners free, 8 the LORD gives sight to the blind, the LORD lifts up those who are bowed down, the LORD loves the righteous”. I am so free now and I feel it almost everyday! THANK YOU JESUS!
