In today’s photo God showed me so many lesson’s. The biggest lesson was “we are never to far gone for God!”. The mother above quietly wept over her dying baby as I shot photos for USA Today Newspaper on a story about babies born addicted to crack cocaine because of their mothers drug addictions. Soon I felt the Lord call me to put my camera down and minister to her. For two hours I shared about the forgiving nature of Jesus Christ. The mother was absolutely convinced she was going to hell and was beyond forgiveness. I shared with her how Jesus told the paralyzed man in Mathew 9:2 his sins were forgiven and he was healed, able to walk again. Also about what was probably the town whore in Luke 7:36-50 who barged into the house of a rich religious man when she heard Jesus was there so she could wash his feet with her tears and anoint them with her perfume. Jesus publicly forgave her sins and pronounced her salvation. Jesus even goes on to teach us that there is a relationship between the amount we feel we have been forgiven and how much love we have to offer God…”Whoever has been forgiven little loves little.” Luke 7:47B. There was so much that God did that day. This post would be pages long if I wrote about it all. The good news was by 10:00 that night everyone in that home; men, women and children, had all accepted Jesus’ forgiveness and salvation. None of us are to far gone for God. The more you need forgiven for, the more you will have to love God for!
